Arnhem Highway‚ the main tourist route from Darwin passes the superb waterlily-covered Fogg Dam‚ Window on the Wetlands display centre‚ Djukbinj and Mary River National Parks. Other attractions out of Jabiru but still relatively close include Aboriginal rock-art sites at Nourlangie Rock and Ubirr and numerous billabongs with prolific wildlife. Yellow Water‚ fifty-five kilometres south-east‚ is a spectacular large billabong‚ where tourist cruises guarantee sightings of waterbirds and other wildlife‚ including crocodiles.
