Crescent Head is a small North Coast resort town 19 kilometres south-east of Kempsey. The coastline both north and south, protected by pristine national parks and reserves, is beautiful and unspoilt. To the south are sandy beaches that are both excellent for surfing, swimming and fishing.
The district has a good reputation among the fishing fraternity, with anglers able to take advantage of deep sea, beach, rock and estuary fishing spots. Local fishing clubs extend a warm welcome to visitors.
