Situated high atop the Great Dividing Range, the tree-lined township of Crookwell is situated in a naturally beautiful area. Some of Australia's best agricultural and pastoral land, green rolling hills, spectacular gardens and abundance of trout streams are all found here.
Bushranger and gold mining history abounds in this area, and many old stone buildings remain from the early days of settlement. The Sheck Webster Lookout at Snowy Mount on the Bigga Road gives the visitor a stunning view of the surrounding countryside, while further afield, Wombeyan Caves has five caves open to the public.
