Accessed via Nowra, the coastal villages of Greenwell Point and Culburra Beach are hidden gems of the south coast.Boasting the closest beaches to Nowra, Culburra Beach is the larger of the two villages and has a well-established infrastructure for tourists. Originally designed by Walter Burley Griffin, today Culburra Beach is the perfect destination for swimming, surfing, general relaxing and fishing. Fishing is the primary activity at Greenwell point, both for professionals and amateurs alike. One of the main seafood ports on the Shoalhaven, the village is famous both for fish and oysters. Boats are available for hire, charters take groups offshore and game fishing, and fishing is also popular from the riverbank and wharf.
