Where to go when you need to go: The National Public Toilet Map

With the help of the Whereis^® API, the Department of Health and Ageing has created the National Public Toilet Map, which provides the locations, opening hours and accessibility information of more than 14,000 public and private toilet facilities across Australia.

Providing the maps and data for the site, the Whereis^® API enables visitors to:

• browse the map in their chosen state or territory
• search for toilets by postcode, town or suburb, near a specific street address or venue
• use the Trip Planner to get turn-by-turn directions for the quickest route between two locations, with public toilets marked along the way
