Tanah Merah is a suburb of Logan City, Queensland, Australia. At the 2011 Australian Census the suburb recorded a population of 4,608. Tanah Merah means "red soil" in Indonesian language. This type of soil is found across the local area. The Pacific Motorway borders the suburb and the Logan Motorway divides it.
Besides Australia, Tanah Merah is also referred to a territory and town in the state of Kelantan in northeast Malaysia. South of Malaysia, Singapore also has a place called Tanah Merah.
