This peaceful seaside village at the top of the Yorke Peninsula has much to offer its visitors in the way of outdoor and relaxing activities. The town is built on the protected Mundoora Arm Inlet and is the home base for a prawn-fishing fleet. Fishing is, however, not restricted to the professionals; there are excellent fishing and crabbing spots for recreational anglers. Boaties are well catered for with an all-weather concrete boat ramp and there is another at nearby Fishermans Bay to supplement the town jetty.
Families enjoy the grassed foreshore reserve where picnic and barbecue facilities are located adjacent to a children's playground. Swimming is possible near the jetty. Sporting facilities include tennis courts, a bowling green, football, and golf course.
