The Whyalla Maritime Museum displays artifacts that relates to the World War II story of four warships built in Whyalla in 1941/1942‚ history of shipbuilding‚ maritime heritage and natural history of upper Spencer Gulf. The museum also exhibits the largest land-locked ship in Australia‚ former HMAS Whyalla‚ the first ship constructed in Whyalla and also the first modern warship built in South Australia.
