Halls Gap is the heart of the Grampians and is surrounded by the Wonderland and Mount William Ranges. It is the perfect base from which to explore the magnificent Grampians (Gariwerd) National Park. With unusual rock formations‚ waterfalls‚ scenic drives and lookouts‚ the park is one of the state's most beautiful natural attractions.
When visiting the Grampians‚ a good place to start is Brambuk the National Park & Cultural Centre‚ located to the south of Halls Gap. This centre showcases the aboriginal heritage of the park area and brings to life the history and culture of five different communities. Visitors may also gain some understanding of aboriginal rock art; approximately 60 rock art sites have been identified in the national park‚ with several shelters being open to the public.
