Map of Bridgetown, WA 6255

Bridgetown lies mainly north of the Blackwood River‚ 94 kilometres south-east of Bunbury‚ in the heart of the South West’s big timber country. A temperate climate and high rainfall produce the lush forests‚ rich farmland‚ pine plantations and wildflowers that attract many artists and photographers to the region.

The Visitor Information Centre is an ideal first stop. As well as local information it is also home to Brierley Jigsaw Gallery‚ which houses a unique collection of jigsaw puzzles from many countries. There are also several art galleries in town‚ as well as wineries and the Cidery‚ which provides an amazing insight into the production and history of cider and the apple industry in Bridgetown. Overlooking Blackwood River Park is Bridgedale‚ the first house of any substance in Bridgetown; built in 1862‚ it is now operated by the National Trust.
