The sedate coastal town of Busselton is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Western Australia, featuring a mild climate, 30 kilometres of safe sandy beaches and easy access to the Margaret River wine region.
Extending almost two kilometres out over the protected waters of Geographe Bay, the heritage-listed Busselton Jetty is the longest timber jetty in the Southern Hemisphere. Towards the end of the jetty lies the Underwater Observatory, where visitors descend 8 metres below the surface without leaving dry land, to see over 300 varieties of marine life.
