Denmark’s beautiful location and friendly atmosphere has attracted many artists and craftspeople to live here and offer their work for sale through a variety of outlets. The town has become famous for its market days held in December‚ January and on Easter Saturday‚ when craft stalls are set up along the banks of the river.

One of the most popular local attractions is the Valley of the Giants Treetop Walk. Rising thirty-eight metres from the ground‚ the walkway takes visitors through the tops of the large red tingle trees from which the area derives its name. Pentland Alpaca Stud & Animal Farm‚ on Scotsdale Road‚ is a family attraction with native and farm animals‚ crafts‚ wools‚ trout fishing‚ scenic walks and a coffee shop‚ as well as the exotic alpacas themselves.
