Wooli is a small coastal town in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, roughly 12 km southeast of Grafton and 685 km north of Sydney. It is located on a peninsula in-between the Pacific Ocean and the Wooli Wooli River, between the Yuraygir National Park and the Solitary Islands Marine Park. It is known as a fishing spot, particularly among anglers.
Wooli is connected to the Pacific Highway which leads south past Grafton, and Wooli's residents are often reliant on Grafton for certain services, including medical care, secondary and tertiary education, and for purchasing goods that may not be available in Wooli.
