Silverleaves is a small town on Phillip Island situated east of Cowes, Victoria. At the 2016 census, Silverleaves had a population of 211. Silverleaves is distinguished by its winding roads and picturesque setting between the ocean and the Rhyll Inlet. The wetlands, beaches, and mudflats support internationally significant bird populations with 44 protected species recorded in the area. Bush birds such as kookaburras, lorikeets, blue wrens, wattlebirds, and firetails are also abundant.

The north-facing sandy beach is a key breeding site for the Hooded Plover on Phillip Island, highlighting the importance of ongoing conservation efforts. Local wildlife such as echidnas, possums, wallabies, koalas, and reptiles thrive in the area, which also features the Silverleaves Reserve, a valued community parkland.

Silverleaves Beach, Phillip Island’s longest, is ideal for beach walks, fishing, and swimming. Popular activities include sailing, beach games, paddleboarding, jet skiing, and boating. A 20-minute walk leads to Cowes, where visitors can explore cafes, restaurants, and shops. The western end is vibrant in summer, while the eastern point remains a tranquil nature reserve.
