Patterson Lakes is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 35 km (22 mi) southeast of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Kingston local government area. Patterson Lakes recorded a population of 7,793 at the 2021 census.
Patterson Lakes is mostly a canal community built around the lower section of the Patterson River just 1–3 km (0.62–1.86 mi) upstream of the river mouth into the Beaumaris Bay. The suburb consists predominantly of new housing developments built around a series of tidal canals and artificial lake, which is home to popular boat launching facilities along the Patterson River. The Patterson River and its tidal canals are popular boating portals into Port Phillip Bay. It includes four public boat ramps adjoining the Tidal Canal system to Port Phillip Bay; and includes the Patterson Lakes Marina and its facilities in Middle Harbour and Inner Harbour.
